Board/ Governance
The Board is the governing body of the school as authorized by the International School Association of Dakar, which is comprised of parents of registered students, all faculty, and the Director.
The ISD Board of Trustees is made up of 9 voting members and one ex-officio member, the Representative of the U.S. Ambassador. The ISD Director, principals, faculty representative, and PTO president also serve as non-voting members of the Board.
The ISD Board of Trustees is responsible for advancing ISD's mission as effectively as possible, developing policy, and ensuring sound financial stewardship of the school. The Board focuses on strategic issues, collaborating with and supporting the ISD administrators who are responsible for day-to-day school business and affairs.
The Board accomplishes its work through three standing committees: Policy, Buildings & Grounds, and Finance. Other ad-hoc committees are created for specific, time-bound purposes.

Hard copies of the minutes are posted on the ISD Board bulletin board outside the main office and electronically below.
