Facilities

The International School of Dakar is situated on six acres overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the outskirts of Dakar. Our attractive school campus includes a library, science lab, two computer centers, art and music rooms, two playgrounds, and a multi-purpose gymnasium situated around an attractive soccer playing field. The campus serves as a school-community center with a wide variety of activities offered after school and on the weekends.

The Club Atlantique, adjoining the school, offers students access to tennis, swimming, basketball and other sports. In addition to having school guards at the school’s entrance, the campus is secured by a perimeter wall.

ISD has experienced significant growth in recent years, and as a result has added new facilities and developed a Campus Master Plan. In 2007, ISD completed a purpose-built 10-room Elementary facility on newly acquired land adjoining our original campus. Phase I of the Master Plan includes construction of a new MS/HS Core subject building with facilities for Music, Art, Modern Languages and Technology. This building is currently planned to open in August 2011.
