School Board

The School Board consists of 7 voting members. The Board constitutes the governing body of the school under the general authorship of the Association of Parents. Membership in the Association is dependent upon being a parent or guardian of a pupil registered in the school.

In addition to the 7 regular voting members of the Board, there are 3 ex officio or non-voting members of the Board: PTA President, Faculty Representative, and US Embassy Representative. The School’s Director and Principal also serve as non-voting members of the Board.

The School’s statutes confer on the Board and the Director the authority to develop policy and make regulations for the transactions of school business and the orderly administration of affairs of the School. The term of office is 2 years. Elections for Board members are held in May.

Board members are also responsible for chairing various committees, which serve to enhance the overall well-being of the school through guidance and support of the school administrators and personnel.
