Welcome to ISD Technology!

The technology mission of ISD is to integrate technology into all aspects of the school to facilitate student learning and provide instructional support to make them life-long learners, true global citizens and to prepare them for living in the 21st century. At ISD, technology is integrated into classrooms and into students’ everyday educational experiences. The school has a network of about 150 computers with 6 servers and all of them are connected to the Internet. Every year ISD adds new computers and new technologies to its current supply. The school has three IT labs that include a mobile lab (laptops on cart) and a media lab. It also has a Library Media Center, technologically well equipped Science Labs as well as computers in classrooms. In addition, our classrooms are fitted with data projectors and interactive white boards.

ISD strongly believes that the combination of right infrastructure, comprehensive training and good instructional design will enhance student learning and achievement. So it constantly updates and improves its curriculum, provides technology training that includes its students and staff and works diligently to insure that there is a reliable and up-to date technology infrastructure that meets the needs of students and teachers.

Students and teachers use computers for doing research, presenting information, for lab experiments, for communication and for other instructional purposes. At ISD, technology means not only computers but also tools like graphing calculators, data loggers, Geometer sketch pads and others.

ISD has a web-based student information system called Focus SIS, which provides access to classroom information, assignments, news and grades. Teachers regularly update the class information and students & parents can access the information using the ids provided by the school, from anywhere in the world.
