High School Graduation Course Requirements

A student must have accumulated 28 hours of credits during their high school career which encompasses 9th through 12th grades.  Each field of study has a certain number of credits that must be completed.  A credit is earned when one YEAR of study in a certain subject is completed. A normal credit load is 8 credits per year.

The requirements for high school graduation in each area are the following:

LANGUAGE A 4 credits (four years of study) 4 credits (four years of study)
MATH 3 credits (three years of study)

Required: Alg.1, Geometry, and Alg.11/Trig.

4 credits (four years of study)
SCIENCE 3 credits (three years of study)
Required: Biology & Chemistry
4 credits (four years of study)
SOCIAL STUDIES 3 credits (three years of study) 4 credits (four years of study)
FINE ARTS 1 credit (one year of study)

2 credits (two years of study)

PHYSICAL ED 2 credits (two years of study) same as minimum requirements
LANGUAGE B 3 credits (three years of study) same as minimum requirements
TECHNOLOGY 1 credit same as minimum requirements
ELECTIVES these can be chosen from either the 4 core areas of study such as English, Math, Science, or Social Studies or they can be taken from other electives.) same as minimum requirements
COMMUNITY SERVICE 50 hours (Class of 2010)

75 hours (Class of 2011)

100 hours (Class of 2012 and onwards)
 

N.B.: Exceptions to these rules must be determined by the Director or a designated committee of the faculty.

May 24: Grades 7 to 12 Spring Concert

May 24: Trimester III ASA Program Ends

May 25: ES Volleyball Tournament

May 25: PTO Yard Sale at ISD

May 25: Global Nomads (Third Culture Kids) Performance 

May 29: K to Grade 2 Spring Concert

May 30: Grades 3 to 5 Spring Concert 

May 31: Grades 5 to 12 Talent Show
