The Arts

ISD has a strong visual Arts program, with classes leading up to Advanced Placement Studio Art for high school juniors and seniors. In addition to 2 dimensional art, students will do sculpting and other work with clay. We have a kiln. Each year, students look forward to the annual Art Show, when works from the year are put on display and parents are invited to campus to tour their children’s products.

ISD’s Music program consists of a general music curriculum in elementary school, and choirs in Middle School and High School. Elementary students learn to read music, play the recorder, and to sing, as well as to play Orph instruments. Choir is an elective course for both Middle School and High School students. The choirs perform at various school events throughout the year.
