Elementary School

Welcome to ISD Elementary School (PreK3 to Grade 5)!

Our Elementary School provides a nurturing environment for our youngest learners, from PreK3 through Grade 5. With small class sizes in PreK and Kindergarten, and a maximum of 22 students in Grades 1-5, we ensure individual attention. Our growing campus features a dedicated Early Learning Center with its own playground. While we grow, our strong sense of community remains, bringing us together for concerts, assemblies, and celebrations.

Our student-centered academic program, guided by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), encourages inquiry and exploration. We integrate Language Arts, Math, and specialist subjects like Art, Music, PE, and Technology into engaging units of inquiry. Our students also benefit from a rich library and daily French classes, catering to all language levels.

Elementary Curriculum Overview

At ISD, our elementary program (PreK to Grade 5) fosters global awareness and a sense of responsibility for our world, building a foundation for lifelong learning. Through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), we nurture each child's holistic development using engaging, inquiry-based learning.  The PYP encourages students to become caring, active learners who think critically and explore local and global connections.
