Visual & Performing Arts
The arts are a vital part of a well-rounded education at ISD.
Our vibrant Arts department has grown significantly, offering dedicated staff and excellent new facilities.
All students from Pre-K to Grade 10 enjoy art classes covering drama, music, dance, visual arts, and filmmaking. In Grades 11 and 12, students can choose from robust IB Diploma options in Theatre, Film, and Visual Arts.
Our co-curricular program provides further opportunities to engage in musicals, plays, dance shows, music production, concerts, and more.
We believe a meaningful arts education helps students understand the world, think creatively, and thrive in the 21st century.

Creative Spaces
ISD boasts dedicated spaces for artistic exploration, including two art studios, an IB Visual Art annexe, a media lab for film, a design technology makerspace, drama and dance studios, two band areas, a black box theater, and our custom-built "Suzanne Wardini Theater" (SWT). These spaces provide our students with exceptional environments to nurture their creativity.
