ISD Global Cookbook Created by Our Home Language Program Students

Dear ISD Community,

We are excited to share a special project from our secondary Home Language program! Over the past few months, our talented students, under the guidance of Estelle Thiam, have collaborated to create a unique ISD Cookbook, showcasing the cultures, traditions, and culinary practices that enrich our school community.

This cookbook is not just a collection of recipes; it’s a celebration of the global backgrounds and languages of our students, offering a window into the foods that have shaped their cultures and personal histories.

We invite you to explore the cookbook and try your hand at preparing some of these incredible dishes, all thoughtfully curated and shared by our students.

The Home Language program, taught by Estelle Thiam, is available to all secondary students at ISD who wish to study their home language at school. If you're interested in learning more about the program, reach out to the Secondary Leadership team to find out more.

Thank you to all the students and teachers who contributed to this project — your hard work and creativity have truly paid off. The beautiful cookbook is here.

Happy cooking!

Warm regards,

Cecê
