Student Trips

During the month of October 2025, ISD is offering two distinct and enriching arts-focused travel opportunities for high school students—each tailored to different passions and experiences. 

The Sankofa Arts Festival (Oct 17th– Oct 25th) in Tema, Ghana is a vibrant, cross-cultural celebration centered on the African concept of Sankofa—learning from the past to inspire the future. It brings together students from five schools across Africa and Europe for a week of collaborative workshops, museum visits, performances, and cultural exchange across multiple art forms including visual arts, music, media, and dance. 

On the other hand, the ISTA Theatre Trip (Oct 6th– Oct 12th) to London, England offers a more focused, immersive experience for theatre enthusiasts. Participants will attend an internationally recognized IB Theatre workshop (TaPS), engage with professional artists, and see four world-class performances—ideal for current or aspiring DP Theatre students.

While both trips foster creativity, connection, and global-mindedness, the Sankofa Festival emphasizes interdisciplinary arts and cultural storytelling, whereas ISTA dives deep into the craft and theory of theatre within a professional setting.
