World Culture Day
The school will open at 10:00 to the school community, but will be open from 8:00 for people to set up their booths. If you are hosting a booth, it is recommended that someone from your group set up on Friday evening. There will be people at school to assist you with tables, boards, and electricity.
On Saturday from 10:00 - 14:00, the country booths will be open for everyone to enjoy.
If you would like to invite anyone from outside the community, please send an email to Mr. Gaucher or bring your ID and have the person enter with you or meet you at the gate (for security reasons, everyone coming must be invited by someone from the ISD community)
There will be around 25 booths from around the world with many serving free foods to everyone. As ISD is increasing our focus on sustainability, please remember to bring your own bowls, cutlery, and cups (if you can).
Here is a map of the activities for Saturday:
At the same time there will be a bazaar open on the basketball courts from 10:00 – 14:00 selling things from all around the world and Senegal, so prepare some money to take home some amazing things. If you would like to sell items this day, please fill out this form.
If you would like to play in the ISD football game at 1pm, please remember to bring some athletic clothes.
Beginning at 12:00pm, in the pagoda area and on the track, we will have food vendors selling meals from all over the world from places such as Mexico, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Japan, Hawaii, and Senegal. Please see the food vendor list on the brochure attached below.
If you have any last minute questions, please email me at ceceo@faculty.isd.sn or Mr. Gaucher at gaucherk@faculty.isd.sn
Looking forward to seeing you all over the next few days!
Standing in Unity,
Cecê Ovelar
