These Youtubers Have Hacked College Admissions

In recent days and weeks, we have engaged in various conversations with students and parents about articles such as this one, in which students who were admitted to certain universities -- often highly selective and therefore difficult to gain admission -- share how they did it. Of course, the Internet is wonderful for sharing information, but we cannot help but remind us all that, especially in the US, admission to any university is an intensely personal and individualized process. As such, it is a mistake to think that any act, attribute, interest, skill, grade, score, or trait in one student when transposed -- genuinely or otherwise -- to another student can yield the same admissions results. When in doubt or when questions arise, come see your friendly, neighborhood counselor! We are here to help!
